What you might NOT know…

Having an art show in Maui is on my bucket list.
2.
I’ve been to Italy 4 times and will never get tired
of going. Who doesn’t love pasta, wine and fabulous scenery? I’ve taken 16
students there in the past 2 years. And taken over 10,000 photos.
3.
I’ve moved from a bungalow to a two story house
after 28 years and consider the stairs my gym membership.
4.
My favorite color is ‘King’s Blue” followed by “Ashphaultum”
5.
I paint at my school/studio because the light is
so great. And the space is large enough to hold my brush ‘collection’.
6.
The only whine I allow at the school is RED or
White.
7.
I am a professional framer, do custom framing
and have even repaired damaged canvases.
8.
I am a proud and hearty Canadian ( 1/2 French,
1/2 English)and have lived in 56 below weather, survived a monster tornado, gone
white water rafting, climbed a Mayan temple and the Eiffel tower, have three
sons, 2 daughter-in-laws and two granddaughters, saw the Rose line and one
Great Great etc uncle was mentioned in
the DaVinci Code ( Sir Robert Boyle), had a real mud bath in Calistoga, and
showed abstract paintings in Wales.

My hubby is my art tour guide, gourmet home cook
and wine maker.

We have seen and tasted in Napa Valley, The Okanogan
Valley, Chianti district and Boudeaux

Going to a Com-icon is on my bucket list. Love
Start Trek and Star Wars and most thing SF. Will do a LOTR marathon every
Christmas. What’s with the Red Wedding ?!( Game of Thrones)

Love dress up parties! ( Medieval, Hawaiian, Pirate,
Vegas and Hillbilly)

I collect Royal Winton china- Old Cottage Chinz
and have found pieces in Florida and Nanton Alberta. This was my grandmother
Loveridge’s favorite pattern.

I do photo books instead of scrap-booking or
albums.

I make diaper cakes and have soooo much fun!

I will paint anything that has a certain quality
of light. I will plein air paint but prefer studio painting. I love painting oils, watercolors, gouache and have not made friends with acrylics yet…

My house
is full of old books, tins, candles, antique furniture, Italian dinnerware,
pinwheel crystal from our wedding, every kind of wine/sherry/port/aperitif
glass, toys for the granddaughters including Barbies and pink and purple ponies,

I believe that anyone with a bit of patience can
learn how to paint realistically and I get the greatest thrill seeing them do
it!
